Overview

The Faculty of Tourism and Hotel Management of Amrapali University, Haldwani, houses the multifaceted Department of Hospitality.

It provides operational and managerial acumen through varied training setups to graduates and diploma program enrolled students who can perform a variety of professions and tasks in the hospitality industry while also practising the occupational safety and first aid procedures necessary for employment there. The subjects of hospitality and the application of associated sciences, such as customer psychology, the environment, organisation behaviour, hospitality law, human values, etc. develop students with professional competencies helping them to operate and manage hospitality businesses employing contemporary technologies.

The students pursue a variety of specialised and credentialed courses which develops them for employment in the many professions and positions found in the hotel industry and also in allied Service Sector.

The department focuses on the practical aspects in addition to the theoretical courses. Students are exposed to practical aspects of different verticals of Hospitality operations. In addition to summer training in the second year, the students are provided with in-house trainings to keep track of their development as per the changing trends. Over the course of their studies, the department also arranges several field trips and research expeditions for its students.
