Amrapali University, Haldwani redefined the concept of skill and skilled performance by hosting the 18th Chef Competition, Abhyudaya, a skill based competition by the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management on 13th and 14th March, 2024.

The participants were exposed to various avenues to compete with and were acknowledged for excellent performance. The Indian Regional Culinary competition was won by FHTM, Haldwani, BCIHMCT, Delhi and Amity Noida. The laurels for patisserie and confectionary went to Amrapali University, Lalit Suri Institute and BCIHMCT Delhi. The Housekeeping Skills were best displayed through flower decoration and towel origami by BCIHMCT Delhi, Amrapali University and Pal College, Haldwani. Bartending competition was won by The Lalit Suri, KITM Khatima and Amrapali University and the Waste to Wonderful competition winners were Amrapali University, FCI Aligarh and The Lalit Suri Institute. The analytical Aadhyan competition was won by The Lalit Suri Institute, Faridabad, IHM, Dehradun and SGT Gurugram while the laurels for Brain Twister competition went to The Lalit Suri Institute, Faridabad followed by Amity University, Noida and JNU Jaipur. The winners of Millet Magic innovation challenge were IHMS Kotdwar, Amity Noida and CHTS Lucknow. The best International cuisine expertise were displayed by students of BCIHMCT, Delhi, Amrapali University and The Lalit Suri Institute, Faridabad and the students who best Dressed the cake for a sweet taste were IHM Dehradun, Amrapali University and CHTS, Lucknow as they stood first, second and third in position respectively.

Hard-work and dedication rewarded to satisfaction is the greatest achievement for everyone and many students walked away with rewards during the event felicitated by the Directors and Principals of the various departments of Amrapali University.
